Services: HBCU HAVEN (Helpers and Advocates for Violence Ending Now) is an initiative that seeks to provide more streamlined, efficient, comprehensive culturally-competent services to members of the NCCU campus community who are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking. HBCU HAVEN also aims to increase educational awareness for students, faculty and staff.

Services: Provides 24-hour crisis intervention services to survivors of sexual violence, their loved ones, and professionals seeking information. Services include a 24-Hour Help Line, support groups, workshops, and therapy referrals. Trained Companions answer help line calls and are also available to accompany survivors to the hospital, meetings with law enforcement, and court appointments. Additionally, the Center offers educational programs for raising awareness about sexual violence and teaching prevention skills.

If the woman is from another county, must call between 9am and 5pm for interview. Age limit on male children (16 years) depends on the age range of current residents.

Services: Trained advocates are available to provide support through safety planning, crisis intervention, assessment of needs, identification of options, community referrals, and assistance with obtaining emergency safe shelter. The shelter offers a safe and supportive environment for survivors and their children offering counseling and case management as well as assistance with legal, housing, transportation and employment/educational needs.
