The Durham Crisis Response Center relies on donations from individuals like you to provide vital services in our community. Financial contributions are important for funding our operations as some of our needs (hotels, food cards for clients) cannot be funded through grants. Individuals, businesses, civic organizations, and faith communities can make a donation to DCRC at any time through our secure website or by mail.
Make a difference TODAY
Your gift today will ensure that DCRC continues to support survivors, educate the public, advocate for change, and work to prevent violence in our community. A gift of $250 can provide a home and meals for a mother and three children at our shelter for two weeks. Please make your most generous donation today.
We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible in accordance with Internal Revenue Service regulations. Please make the most generous donation you can to DCRC today.

Donate a Cell Phone
Do you have an old cell phone you are no longer using? Donate it to DCRC and it could save someone’s life. Cell phones can be used to dial 911 in an emergency, whether or not they are activated. If you have a cell phone that has been cleared of all information, please drop it off at the DCRC office with its charger. All donations are tax-deductible.
Donate a Vehicle
The Durham Crisis Response Center accepts vehicle donations through a secure site provided by the Vehicle Donation to Any Charity Program.
Donate Goods or Services
The DCRC shelter houses over two hundred women and children every year, requiring lots of odds and ends to keep the household running. DCRC relies on gifts from the community to make stays at the shelter as comfortable as possible.
Professional services, such as painting, plumbing, electrical work, landscaping and more, are extremely helpful and allow us to provide more services directly to clients. If you can mow the grass, fix a leaky sink or handle a hammer, we have a job for you. Please contact us at email@example.com for more information.
DCRC also maintains a wish list of all the things needed on an on-going basis. If you would like to donate any of the following new items listed below, please drop them off at Pennies for Change, our benefit thrift store, located at 2715 Chapel Hill Blvd. near Guglhupf. Please call 919-237-2167 if you need directions. If you have other items that you would like to donate to the shelter program, please call our Director of Shelter Services at 919-489-3654.
